Before you begin typing an essay in MLA format, you must know what you have to do first before you begin typing. The first thing you need to do is make sure that it is 12 point font and times new roman. Next you have to make sure that you are using black ink and that it is double spaced. Also you need to make sure that there are one inch margins around, and that no extra spaces between the paragraphs. And finally you need to make sure that your paper has to be written in your own words.
